It’s time to nominate your Local Union leadership.

On Thursday, July 2, 2026, you will receive a text message from 586-355-1500 through our EZ Texting system. This text will contain your secure ElectionBuddy nomination ballot link.

We will be using ElectionBuddy, a secure online election system, to allow you to submit your nominations directly from your phone.

Important: To nominate, run for, or hold any union position, you must be a member in good standing. This means your dues card must be on file.

Here’s how the nomination process works:

  1. Watch for the text message from 586-355-1500
    This will be your official nomination notice.
  2. Open the text message
    Inside the message, you will find your secure nomination link.
  3. Click the link
    Tap the link and it will open the ElectionBuddy nomination ballot in your phone’s web browser.
  4. Review the nomination ballot carefully
    Follow the instructions and enter the names of the members you wish to nominate for Local leadership.
  5. Submit your nominations
    Once completed, scroll down and click Submit.
  6. Confirmation
    After submitting, you will receive confirmation that your nominations have been successfully recorded.

Important reminders:
✔ Only members in good standing can nominate, be nominated, or hold office.
✔ Your nomination submission is private and secure.
✔ Only use your personal nomination link.
✔ Do not share your link with anyone.
✔ Complete your nominations before the deadline.

When you receive the text, open it right away and take part in choosing the future leadership of your Local. Your voice and participation matter.
