Permissions and Restrictions

SPFPA permits you to use this website consistent with the below:

  • You do not collect the personal information of other users of our website.
  • You do not use our website for any commercial purposes without SPFPA’s prior written authorization.
  • You do not use any system, including “robots,” “spiders,” or “offline readers” that sends more request messages to our websites servers in a given period of time than a human can reasonably produce in the same period by using a conventional online web browser.
  • You do not interfere with the security of our website.
  • You do not post to our website any content that is violative of intellectual property law, defamatory, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise illegal.
  • SPFPA may terminate or suspend user access to our website, without prior notice and in SPFPA’s sole discretion.
  • This list of restrictions is not intended to be complete. It is merely illustrative.

Digital Millennium Copyright Act

If you believe that our website violates your copyrights or the copyrights of an entity of which you are the agent, you may submit the following information in writing to SPFPA at: rich@unionlaw.net:

  • Identity of copyrighted work alleged infringed, including its location on our website
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are, or are authorized to act on behalf of, the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed;
  • Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address
  • A physical or electronic signature of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed, or that of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner

Be advised that submitting a bad faith complaint and/or takedown notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act may expose you to liability under the Act and possible criminal penalties.

This Privacy Policy and Terms of Use are effective March __, 2019.  Using the SPFPA website shows that you agree to be bound by the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use as of the date of your use. If you do not accept the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, do not use out website. As privacy and security threats are constantly evolving, SPFPA has the right to change these policies and terms at any time. Opinions and comments on our website are the opinions of the original authors and are not necessarily the views or values of SPFPA.

You agree to be obligated to indemnify, defend, and to hold harmless SPFPA from all liabilities, claims, damages, fees, and expenses arising from or related to our website or its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. This obligation will outlast our website, its Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

You and SPFPA agree that any cause of action arising from or related to our website is permanently barred unless the cause of action starts within one (1) year after accrual. The law of the state of Michigan shall govern all disputes arising from or related to our website, its Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Any dispute shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Detroit, Michigan or the surrounding metropolitan area. Where multiple courts are permissible under this agreement, SPFPA has the sole right to choose in which court the dispute shall be heard.
