On Sunday, October 27, 2024, SPFPA Local 888 members who work at the Garda Armored branch in Las Vegas unanimously ratified their new three-year contract.
Region 3 Director JD Covington worked with the Local bargaining committee to win the unit members’ wage increases, guaranteed working hours, and much more. The benefits of the new contract were presented in a highlight sheet put together by the Local 888 Financial Treasurer, Stephen Porcher.
A BBQ lunch put together by Local 888 Chief Steward Jon Medina made the day even better. He operated the grill, and members enjoyed hamburgers, hotdogs, and all the sides; it was delicious!
Local 888 President Hope Sandy said, “I am proud of our members, and I look forward to continuing to work together as we move into the future, SPFPA Unity Strong!”
